Our Team
Ryan Solomons – Founder of Vault Legal
Ryan is the founder and managing director of Vault Legal. He was also the co-founder of Trade Mark Direct (a successful trade mark registration firm) and Willed (ground-breaking estate planning technology platform).
Ryan has over 20 years’ experience gained from both private practice and in-house environments. He has practised in Melbourne, Perth and London and he specialises in corporate and commercial transactions as well as intellectual property law.
Ryan’s personable and commercially focused approach combined with his understanding of the legal landscape enables him to provide clients with cost-effective and practical advice. He has extensive experience working with large and small companies (including start-ups and entrepreneurs) to mitigate transactional risk and achieve their corporate goals, including developing and implementing intellectual property protection and management strategies.
Ryan has a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) and a Master of Laws.
Fiona Rotstein – Intellectual Property Law Consultant and Trade Mark Attorney
Fiona is an Intellectual Property Consultant and Trade Mark Attorney at Vault Legal. She is also the Editor of “Intellectual Property Forum”, the official Journal of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand (IPSANZ).
At the University of Melbourne, Fiona taught Intellectual Property Law for ten years, was the subject co-ordinator and lecturer of Media Law, and was a Law Research Fellow at the Intellectual Property Research Institute of Australia (IPRIA) for five years.
Fiona has presented at international conferences and provided seminars on a range of topics in the field of Intellectual Property Law. Her work has been reproduced by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the Advisory Council on Intellectual Property, the European Policy for Intellectual Property, the New Zealand Centre of International Economic Law, and Melbourne Business School.
Fiona has been interviewed for the ABC television show “Business Today” and has written articles for a number of peer-reviewed law journals, including “European Intellectual Property Review”, “Journal of World Intellectual Property”, “Media & Arts Law Review”, “Journal of Intellectual Property Law & Practice” and “University of New South Wales Law Journal”.
Fiona has a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Laws (Hons) all from the University of Melbourne.
